This is so true, and part of the process has to be not caring what people think and being able to say "no" to their offers of food that don't fit your plan. I can't tell you the number of times I've been derailed by "just have a little" or "just one piece," and it not only wasn't enjoyable, but I could easily have declined! And often those foods are the ones that set me off onto a binge that lasted days, weeks, or months. So pleasing other people won't get me to my goal weight!
