Ingenious. DH&I enjoy eating dessert after teaching class and the kids are in bed or visiting at DDs. This would be a very nice treat and the portion control is essential to success. After, Lent, I will give this storage method a whirl. In the meantime, I will be thinking about how to expand the concept.

Thanks Karen. I commonly keep frozen homemade cookie dough in my freezer, and will take out four or five for my husband and one for me to cook as a small dessert treat. I ALSO find it easy to store individual leftover pieces of pie, cake etc in my freezer for my husband, and individual low-calorie sweet treats in my freezer for myself. He can have the high-calorie one, while I have a low-calorie one. This seems to work quite well for me because I really like the treats I make for myself better than the high-calorie treats that I usually buy for him.

I do this ahead also and while having lunch with friends, the FRESH cookies are baking. I also make Chocolate Covered Cherries ahead and when my brothers, who are in their 70's, come to visit, they dip them in chocolate and take them with them.
