The Power of Momentum

- POSTED ON: Nov 25, 2011

It's a scientific fact - something in motion tends to stay in motion.
Momentum is the force or speed of movement;

I have always been fascinated by the principle of inertia.
which is the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest,
or a body in straight line motion to stay in motion,
unless acted on by an outside force.

Most of us have a propensity to stay where we are
and continue doing what we've been doing.
Yet, it is also true that:
"if we always do what we've always done,
we'll always get what we've always gotten."

Many of us would really like to make positive changes in our lives.
The KEY is: START NOW.

The world is full of people who intend to do the right thing.
They plan to save money, to lose weight, to get in shape,
or to follow some other worthwhile goal.
Yet it never seems to happen.

Some people become paralyzed by their need
to look at things in detail before they begin.
They are afraid of making a mistake
so they wait for the perfect opportunity ..
..which never comes because it doesn't exist.

It's like they are stuck: ready, aim, aim, aim, aim,
..but "fire" never comes.
At some point if we are going to get something done,
we have to begin.

So, my point is…if you know you need to diet,
...by which I mean ---
to reduce the calories of your food intake --- by whatever manner,
don't wait until Monday,  or until after the Holidays…
just start now.
