Sharing something with you.
My sister-in-law recently re-wrote this old fable and posted it on Facebook.
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
The animal hew-hawed for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old and would surely die down there.
And the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
Even if it were, he wasn’t sure how he would go about it.
So he invited his neighbors to come help him bury the donkey.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey kept on crying. A few shovel loads later,
the group noticed the donkey shaking the dirt off and taking a step up.
As the farmer’s neighbors hurried to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he shook it off and took another step up.
Pretty soon, the donkey stepped up on the edge of the well and trotted off.
It’s not what happens to you that matters,
but what you do with what happens to you.
I'm working to apply this to myself,
