Like your suggestions. I use the Kashi Go Lean sprinkled over my yogurt (10gms/ 18 cal) as a crispy topping on my yogurt while keeping cal/carb counts low. With lacrosse season for the twins, dinner gets pushed back late. I enjoy mixed nuts with a diet coke watching them play. Always premeasured, Always. I also carry the prepackage nuts (100 cal) in my purse as an emergency snack. I have yet to use it, but I do not leave home without it. As important as a driver's license. It comes down to planning and knowing oneself. I do not want to have the excuse, I am starving so I need fast food. A snack pack of nuts in my purse stops that thinking for me. Yesterday, DH&I had a South Beach Bar (100cal) with our cappuccino at Starbucks before dinner. If I want to nibble at SBX, I must bring it. The food they sale does not fit in my plan- calorie or carb wise. My fruit choices are berries and melons not bananas. SB bars are okay in my house, because they are from a previous trip last spring. I have realized that the family can have snacks, I just cannot be the one to buy it. I do not want to think over which chips, cookies, dips, then not have it. I also discovered, for me at this time, fritos & sour cream dip sets up uncomfortable desires for more.

Karen, We appear to have many behaviors in common. I also have foods that seem to trigger cravings for more, and tend to avoid those foods. These issues also change for me over time, and I find that I can easily handle certain things at specific times, but not at other time. Learning about oneself is a valuable endeavor.

Thanks Karen, it's called "Porch Swing", which seems to fit with my life and my videos.
